A beaming Southport mum defied one-in-25,000 odds to give birth to “miracle” triplets.
Sarah Johnson, 31, had Darcie, Macy and Bobbie-Ann at Ormskirk Hospital on January 21.
The vast majority of triplets are born after IVF treatment, but Sarah’s three bundles of joy were conceived naturally.
Sarah, who described the three girls as a “miracle”, now has five children. Each of the triplets was born weighing 5lbs.
Their mum said: “It was a massive shock to learn I was pregnant with triplets. I’ve waited for a baby girl forever and now I’ve got three.
“Me and the girls’ dad feel so blessed and lucky. I know we will be knee-deep in nappies and feeding bottles, but we can’t wait to get them home.”
Sarah, who is a heath care assistant at Southport Hospital , added: “We are buying three of everything and have three cots ready for the sisters. It is a very exciting time.”
Sarah gave birth to the triplets after 33 weeks and six days. Two of the girls are identical twins.
